Abstract
This article analyzes the censorship of the photograph A Queda do Motociclista da FAB (1965), by Evandro Teixeira, during the exhibition held at MAM-RJ in 1969, starting from a contextualization of the work of Evandro Teixeira in the scenario of photojournalism at the time, and taking into account the various imbrications between real and fiction that are observed in your work. We observe that this presence of fiction in Evandro’s photography Teixeira, in line with the artistic tendencies of the time, was one of the reasons that led to the prohibition of the work at a time of increased censorship during the dictatorship military.
